Family Recovery Court
Family Recovery Court (FRC) is a special court docket located in the Maine District Court.

Family Recovery Court serves parents with open Child Protective cases who also have substance use disorder. Through judicial accountability and enhanced access to comprehensive treatment services, the Family Recovery Court improves the safety and welfare of children and supports the recovery of their parents from substance use disorder.
What We Provide:
- Intensive case management for parents in child protective cases
- Coordination with the Office of Child and Family Services and treatment providers
- Recovery support, parenting resources, and supervised visitation planning
- Advocacy for stable housing, transportation, and access to care
- Regular status reporting to the Family Recovery Court team
